The interpretation of the OTB Sustainable Tourism Indicators System is based on:
The result of the indicator itself on the basis of the ideal or desired value.
The result of the indicator in relation to other geographical areas of analysis (benchmark).
The temporal evolution of the results of the indicator in the same geographical area.
The findings are presented in sheets that include explicative information on each of the indicators: areas, issues and SDGs to which they are linked, method of calculation, justification, interpretation and data sources. The presented results refer to the three geographical areas of OTB’s usual work: Barcelona city, Barcelona region and Destination Barcelona.
